A view from the ground.

Both pictures partly display Tua Pek Kong Temple in Kuching, Sarawak; a prominent landmark and popular tourist attraction in Kuching. The temple is believed to be the oldest Buddhist temple in Kuching, with its official existence record dating back to 1876.

It was also believed that fishermen whom populated the area prayed to the deity for safety before heading out to sea. Nowadays mainly Chinese pay homage to the Tua Pek Kong deity for peace and prosperity.
